Looking for Affordable Housing?

As part of its mission and dedication to providing safe, decent and affordable housing, the County, through the Community Development & Housing Department, invests in the creation of affordable units throughout the County. The County maintains affordable housing project lists as well as an interactive project map.

The project lists can be viewed here:

Each affordable housing project is independently-owned and managed.

For information on unit availability and how to apply for residency, please contact the property management directly for each project.

HUD provides additional resources to search for affordable housing that is privately owned and subsidized.

Renter’s Rights

As a renter, you have rights!  Renter-rights are protected under federal fair housing laws that ensure that tenants are treated fairly and not subjected to discriminatory practices based upon age, race, religion, gender, sources of income, ancestry, sexual orientation, marital status, familial status or other characteristics.

To ensure your rights are protected, the Community Development & Housing Department has partnered with the Inland Fair Housing Mediation Board (IFHMB) to provide fair housing and tenant rights services to individuals residing within the County’s service areas.

IFHMB is here to help if you need information about or assistance with:

  • Fair housing/discrimination issues
  • Mediation regarding landlord/tenant or mobile home issues
  • Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) to negotiate resolution to a dispute to avoid a legal trial
  • Senior services for those 55 years or older in need of problems solving assistance regarding Social Security, Medicare, Medi-Cal, collection agencies, housing and other issues.

For more information or assistance, please contact IFHMB at 800.321.0911 or visit the IFHMB Website.
